The Polygon Style Properties dialogue is used to specify the settings used to fill and stroke a polygon layer feature.
- Stroke style,
Name: The style name is set by default. When a layer has a single style, the name of the style is the name of the layer. When a layer has multiple styles, the name of each style is the feature's value used as a category.
Legend: Sets the name that will be displayed in the layer control and the legend panel of the published map.
Polygon style
Fill Style: Selects the fill style in the drop-down list.
- None: No fill is drawn for the polygon.
- Solid: The polygon fill is a solid colour. Open the Color Picker dialogue to define the fill colour.
- Pattern: A colour is used as a background, while a pattern in a second colour is drawn over top.
- Click the first colour button to define the fill colour with the Color Picker dialogue.
- Enable the Transparent check box to apply a transparent fill style.
- Click the second colour button to define the pattern colour with the Color Picker dialogue.
- Select a fill pattern in the drop-down list. The following patterns are available:
Stroke Style: Selects the stroke style in the drop-down list.
- None: No stroke is drawn for the polygon.
- Line: The stroke is a solid line. Open the Color Picker dialogue to define the stroke colour.
- Dashed: The stroke is a dashed line.
- Opens the Color Picker dialogue to define the stroke colour.
- The dash pattern is expressed by a series of alternating numbers (on/off) of pixel width in the text box beside the colour button. E.g. [pixels on] [pixels off] [pixels on] [pixels off]. Simply type in the numbers separated by a space character.
- Pattern: The stroke is one of a preset number of patterns.
- Opens the Color Picker dialogue to define the stroke colour.
- The following stroke patterns are available:
Stroke Width: Selects the stroke width in the drop-down list. The Hairline option is a fine pixel stroke that displays with minimum width. The pixel width options specify a specific pixel width for the stroke between 1 and 25 pixels.
