The Point Style Properties dialogue is used to specify the settings used to display a point feature.
There are two different ways to define the style :
- Font Symbol,
- Image Symbol,

Name: The style name is set by default. When a layer has a single style, the name of the style is the name of the layer. When a layer has multiple styles, the name of each style is the feature's value used as a category.
Legend: Sets the name that will be displayed in the layer control and the legend panel of the published map.
Point Style
Type: Displays point features using a Font Symbol or an Image Symbol.
Font Symbol
A font symbol uses a true type font as the source of the style.

Font: Sets the font used to display the point.
- Size: Sets the size of the symbol.
- Colour: Opens the Color Picker dialogue to define the font colour.
Symbol: Sets the specific symbol from the font that will be used to display the point.
- Rotation: Applies a rotation to the symbol.

Effects: Enables the checkboxes to apply the following effects:
- Drop Shadow: Creates a shadow effect for the point. Open the Color Picker dialogue to define the drop shadow colour.
- Halo: Creates a halo effect around the point. Open the Color Picker dialogue to define the halo colour.
An image symbol uses one or more bitmap images as the source of the style.

Fill: Selects the graphic image used as the fill of the symbol. The drop-down provides a list of all images added to the Styles Manager for use as point styles. To add a new image, use the + button.
Roll Over: Selects the graphic image used when the mouse moves over the symbol. The drop-down provides a list of all images added to the Styles Manager for use as point styles. To add a new image, use the + button.
Stroke: Selects the graphic image used as the stroke of the symbol. The drop-down provides a list of all images added to the Styles Manager for use as point styles. To add a new image, use the + button. The stroke of a point style is changed when the symbol is selected in the published map. The image used as a stroke symbol should be transparent to allow the fill to be visible.
Rotation: Applies a rotation to the symbol.
