Upload data to the CartoVista Server

Add data to your Portal to create your custom maps.

Add Data

Click Add Data    then browse your computer to the file that contains your data. You can check here the list of supported data formats.

A window shows you the process of the layer addition.

You can add the layer in its current projection or reproject the map features using Spherical Mercator. The Spherical Mercator coordinate system makes the layer compatible with popular map providers such as Google Maps, Bing Maps, Yahoo Maps, CartoVista, OpenStreetMap, etc.

The remaining steps differs depending on the type of data you have uploaded:

• Vector or Tabular Data
• Raster Data

Vector Layer or a Data Table

You can pick the data columns that you wish to add.

When you click Finish, a new record is added to the list of layers and data tables.

Grid Layers

You can rename your layer, define the units and select the band you want to upload.

When you click Finish, a new record is added to the list of layers.
