When you create a user, you need to choose his role. Here is what those roles are for.
Map Gallery
Map gallery users can view or edit maps for which they were granted access permission.
Map gallery users only have access to the Map Gallery. They are not able to edit any layer or map on the server. Here is what the CartoVista Server looks like for these users:
Map Creator
Map creators can view or edit maps for which they were granted access or modify permission. They can also add maps, layers, data tables and tile layers.
They have access to the Map Gallery and Data view. Here is what the CartoVista Server looks like for these users:
When enabled on the Server, they also have access to Basemaps and Observatories.
Administrator
Administrators have a modify permission on all objects available on CartoVista Server. They can also add maps, layers, data tables and tile layers. In addition, they can manage users, groups and their access rights, as well as obtain statistics on the actions performed by each user.
