Viewer Configuration - General Interface

With this interface, you can create a customization that will be visible when deploying your map on the CartoVista Viewer.

    Click on the "Viewer Configuration" option in the top bar.

     The General Interface tab is divided into eight sections:

          - Template,

          - Template Options,

          - General,

          - Information,

          - Legend,

          - Search and Layer Control,

          - Appearance,

          - Table Views,

          - Other Views.

Template:

     template

     Template: Determines the general appearance of the CartoVista Viewer. Select one of the following templates:

          - Panels View (Default): Map interface with a bottom panel and a right-side panel. 

          - Web Experience Toolkit (WET) 4.0.28: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 level AA compliant template. 

Template Options:

     Bottom Panel Visible by Default: This shows the bottom panel open at the initial view of the published map.

     Side Panel Visible by Default: This shows the side panel open at the initial view of the published map.

     Default Active Side Panel: Defines which panel will be open by default in the right-side panel. You can select from the following: Search, Chart, Layer Control or Information.

General

    General: Determines which of the following options will be available in the published map's top bar:

Map Export Creates an image of the current view of the map in PNG format. export
Drawing Toolbar Adds the drawing and annotation toolbar and panel to the map. drawing
Add Thematic Creates a new thematic analysis in a new theme set based on the current map displayed. A menu will let you select one of the interactive map layers, the thematic data to display and the representation method. add_thematic
Simplified Mode When you create a new thematic analysis, the simplified menu displays the categories and data tables in a distinctive option, allowing the users to browse more easily through numerous thematic data available. simplified-mode
Theme Set List Displays the name of the active theme set and lists the other theme sets available on the map. theme-set-list-close
Social Media Sharing Provides a link to share the map on social media, by email or by embedding the map into a website. sharing
Language List Translates the user interface in English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian or Turkish. en
Print Opens the print layout. print
Help Opens the CartoVista Viewer online help. You can also decide to add the Show Tour when you open the map. help
Full Screen Makes the interface full screen. full_screen
About Displays information about the version of the CartoVista Publisher and CartoVista Viewer used to create the map. about_cartovista

Information

     Information: Displays the information panel in the published map. In addition, check all the options that you wish to be available in this panel.

Settings Opens the information panel settings to modify the selection of thematic data displayed. settings
Map Units (X,Y) Displays the coordinates of a specific location on the map in map units coordonnees-locales
Decimal degrees Displays the coordinates of a specific location on the map in decimal degrees. decimal-degrees

Legend

     Legend: Displays the legend panel in the published map. In addition, check all the options that you wish to be available in this panel.

Settings Opens the legend settings panel to configure how thematic analyses are displayed. settings
Remove Thematics Removes the current thematic analysis from the map. remove
Visibility Control Displays a layer and its thematic analyses. This check box is synchronized with the layer control. visibility
Show Not Available Values Displays the map features for which there is no data available in the dataset.  not_available
Show Out of Ranges Values Displays the map features for which the thematic data value falls outside the ranges of values defined for the displayed thematic analysis. out_of_ranges
Show Feature Count Displays the number of features per class next to the layer class, range or individual value style. feature_number

Appearance

     You can set the appearance of the viewer between these 6 styles:

          - CartoVista Blue,

          - Deep Blue,

          - Night Gray,

          - Lavender,

          - Forest Green,

          - Aqua

Table Views

     Table Views: Displays the Data and Selection panels in the published map. In addition, check all the options that you wish to be available in these panels.

Statistics Displays statistics for each thematic data. Choose the statistics you want to be displayed. statistics
Filters Displays a subset of the data in the data panel, as well as on the map, chart and legend. filter

Charts

Add Adds a new chart to the map. add
Export Exports the chart to either a raster image (.PNG) or a vector graphic (.SVG). When exporting to vector format, the content can be scaled without impacting the quality. export

Settings Opens the chart settings to modify the name, the thematic data colour or the chart type. settings

Optimized View Eliminates the effect of very high or low values. optimize_view
