      Enable WFS to share your data

      Any layer from your portal can be shared through a WFS service. Learn how to activate it and use the WFS service as a source.

      Activate WFS

      In the Detail Panel of your layer, activate the WFS toggle:enable-wfs

      ℹ️   The WFS service uses users' permissions from the CartoVista portal. You have to have read permission on a layer to access it through the WFS service.

      Add a WFS as data source

      You will have to use your API Key to access WFS service. Make sure your API Key has been created with IP whitelisting.

      Use the following URL in your GIS software to add the WFS source: 

      https://{your-portal-name}/{your-tenant-name}/WebPortalServices/api/v1/WFS/{apiKey}

      Replace your portal, tenant, and API Key is your own information.

      ℹ️  The CartoVista WFS service is at version 1.0.0. Please specify the version to use in your GIS.
