This article will take you through the steps to create a basic map with the data you have uploaded to the Server
Create a map window
In the Map Sources Manager, select the Server section. Open the list of Web Portals using the expand button 
and open the list of data sources in your Portal.
Select the data you want to create a map with, and drag and drop it to the left. 
This will open a map window where you can visualize and customize your map.
ℹ️ If you don't see the layer you're looking for in the list, right-click on your portal's name and select "Update". This will update the list of layers that have been added recently to the portal.
Modify the Order of Layers
In this map window, you will see the list of data in the Layer Control.
It is possible to change the order of the map layers using drag and drop. An insert bar will show you where the layer you are moving will be positioned.
Add a Tile Base Map
To add a background tile base map, drag one of the tile providers that are provided by default with the CartoVista Publisher from the Tile Providers section of the Map Sources Manager and drop it in the map window.
Save
The main elements of the map are already in place. Before going further, save your map window in the directory of your choice.
ℹ️ The main file extension of the map window is .cvm.
