The CartoVista Viewer Deployment License Key is needed to view the maps in the CartoVista Viewer and to deploy on a Web server.
This article is valid only for people who have the stand-alone version of the CartoVista Viewer and Publisher.
The key formats for the CartoVista Viewer and CartoVista Publisher are different.
The CartoVista Viewer Deployment License Key is needed to view the maps in the CartoVista Viewer and to deploy on a Web server. You do not need a license key if you wish to create and view CartoVista maps on your local machine.
However, a DEMO / EVALUATION VERSION watermark will be displayed on your map in the CartoVista Viewer.
The CartoVista Viewer deployment license key must be added in the Publish Options dialogue of a Map Window.
Enter your deployment license key in the text box marked <Insert License Key Here>. Once you have hit enter or moved the focus from the text box, a new line will be added to the list of license keys. If you have entered a valid license key, the domain that the key is registered for will be displayed in the Domain column. If the key is not valid, it will display Invalid License Key. A deployment license key is linked to the domain name for the Web server that the CartoVista map will be deployed on. If you have multiple domain names to support, a license key for each domain must be entered.
The CartoVista Publisher will remember the license keys you previously used and will automatically enter them for you when you create a new map. You can:
- : uncheck the license keys that are not needed for a specific map.
- : remove a license key that is not needed anymore.
