# Add a new image as a label background

## Label background images can be updated when going to the installation destination of the CartoVista Publisher

Here is how to add a new image as a label background:

1. Once [installed](https://knowledge.cartovista.com/password-requirements-1-lowercase-alphabetical-character.-1-uppercase-alphabetical-character.-1-numeric-character.-1-special-character-/.-a-total-of-8-characters?hsLang=en), open your Publisher
2. Go to this location in your Folders: *%appdata%\\CartoVista\\CartoVista Publisher\\7.0\\BackgroundSymbols*  
   *ℹ️   Change the pat to match your Publisher version if necessary*
3. Copy paste your .png image to this location
4. Close your Publisher, then open it again.
5. In your layer's properties, go the **Labeling** tab, and click on **Fonts**.
